Kujurta Buru Pty Ltd (formerly trading as Mamabulanjin Aboriginal Tours) has operated Aboriginal cultural tours in Broome since 1999. Kujurta Buru is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mamabulanjin Aboriginal Corporation and acts under the direction of an Indigenous Board comprising of Frank Sebastian, Stephen Albert, Nyabiru Tarran and Neil Gower. In 2005 Kujurta Buru expanded its operations to include transfers to and from the Dampier Peninsula (Ardi) communities.
Kujurta Buru's half day cultural tour around Broome gives a unique insight into the traditions, history and contemporary life of Aboriginal people. It offers the opportunity to learn about traditional food gathering and hunting techniques, and discover how the culture and lifestyle of the Yawuru people has been adapted to fit in to modern day Broome.
The Dampier Peninsula Bus Service offers a more in depth experience, transporting visitors to the remote Aboriginal communities on the Dampier Peninsula. The Dampier Peninsula Bus Service runs three times per week and stops in all major communities, as well as at Cape Leveque.
